I think I can I think I can I think I can


Well….Today is day 3 of the Atkins diet. So far so good. The only thing killing me is that I am not supposed to eat fruit for 2 weeks and that is hard for me since I have cut the sweets. I am going to go get some sugar free jello and pudding today. Hopefully that may help too. I love Dr. Pepper. I am so trying not to think about it right now. I went to the doctor about a month ago and she made me realize how bad I need to make this lifestyle change. It’s not even about the weight. It’s more about the self confidence, and the amount of energy I have. I am always so tired and I am sure the cokes have a lot to do with that. There are a lot of good recipes and the allowable foods at http://www.atkins.com/ and I also love http://www.3fatchicks.com/. There is a lot of useful info on their community forum.
Any motivational stuff you can send me would be helpful. Or good recipes. I am bummed. I did not know that Crystal light had carbs in it :( How depressing considering I hate water. Anyway…. That’s all I have to say about that.

How does Crystal Light have carbs??? I'm reading the back of my box right now and it says

Total Fat 0
Sodium 0
Total Carb 0
Sugars 0
Protein 0

I'm confused??? Maybe it's the kind you were getting? Cause I have another kind that has 36mg of Sodium in it??? In case it's just the kind you have, the one I have with all "0" is Raspberry Ice :-)

I stocked up on them cause my Dr told me I need to be drinking a lot of water while I'm prego... and I'm like you, i hate water!!!!

Yes, girls...I hate water too. BUT - I always keep some fresh lemons in my fridge and take some with me to the shoppe. When my water seems a little blah and not refreshing, I cut one in half and squeese the juice right in.

It helps me get through the day.

oh , I did atkins for a year and lost 110 pounds.After the first week it gets so much easier!! Good luck! ;) LA

I dunno. I was told if you drink alot of Crystal light the no carbs adds up to some carbs. I googled it and probably 7 out of 10 websites agreed that it does have some carbs. Regardless....I am losing weight drinking it instead of Dr. Peppers with its 40+ carbs. My favorite C. Light is pink lemonade and have you tried fruit punch? It taste just like hawaiin punch if you get it really cold. I ALSO HATE WATER!!! Yuck!
